All-Turn-It…. Hallows Eve An Original Halloween Experience Written by Brian Udany, October I8, 1999 Rip Van Winkle and Ichabod Crane One condemned to sleep, and the other went insane Little may you know, the real story of the two Come listen to my tale, on my honor all is true Rip Van Winkle was a terror in his day He earned the nickname RIP in a wicked, evil way A killer true to form with a sick, demented twist He would rip apart his victims, pull their hearts out with his fist But that my friends is nothing, as the story holds much more Come close and I will tell a tale of darkness, gloom and gore Long ago a family, lived so vibrant and alive The Cranes' of English blood, many years ago did thrive Until one October evening, as the wind blew harsh and cold A young boy wandered out, despite the horrors he's been told In search of Rip Van Winkle, could this killer yet exist? With his naive curiosity, his search he did persist For many untold years, this young man would try to find This evil, wicked creature, who weighed heavy on his mind As his search continued on, he felt close now to his prey With the hunter now the hunted, his obsession night and day As anger overwhelmed him, and his mind began to spin Upon his horse he rode, the devils' eyes behind his grin Out into the woods, on an eerie, chilling night The wind was howling fiercely, now consumed with utter fright Everything around him reeked of rotting, tortured souls Piercing, horrid, shrieks, doomed forever to these roles Victims of the flesh, but even worse condemned to hell Trapped forevermore, in an eternal, soulless well Engulfed in acid terror, he could feel the end was near As he stood amongst shadows, so confused yet crystal clear What happened next my friends, the stories varied through the years Generations one and all have come to grip with all their fears It was Rip Van Winkle's blade that shattered Ichabod's strong youth And now you are among the few, who know the awful truth So as you venture out, on a cold October night You ought to check behind you, to be sure that all is right For if he should awaken, on the night you choose to leave All who once you knew, will your demise forever grieve...... |
